新潟県南魚沼市にある海外留学生だらけの大学院大学「国際大学」にてPython Boot Campの開催が決定しました！

雪が本格的に積もり出す直前の雪国で開催されるPython Boot CampをきっかけにPythonをはじめてみませんか？

Python Boot Campとは

PyCon JPではこれまでも年に1回東京で開催されるPyCon JPイベントでPythonを学べるチュートリアル講座を開催してきました。 今回は、以下のような人たちにPythonを知ってもらえる機会を提供できたらという思いで、Python Boot Camp（略してPyCamp）を企画しました。

• 遠方に住んでいるためPyCon JPのチュートリアルに参加できずにいた方
• Pythonを使っている人が周りにいなくてなかなか始められなかった方

イベント参加対象者

• チュートリアル参加者: プログラミングはできる・したことがあるけれど、Pythonは初めての方。学生割引を希望の方は、証明できるもの（学生証など）を持ってきてください。
• TA（アシスタント）: Python経験者でイベントの際、講師と一緒に参加者のサポートをしていただける方。
• 現地スタッフ: PyCon JPスタッフや講師と一緒にイベントの運営を手伝っていただける方。

国際大学へはJR浦佐駅から車で10分ほどかかります。 希望者はタクシーに乗り合わせて会場に向かうようにいたします。

• 利用方法: 集合時間までにタクシー乗り場に来て案内板を持った担当者にお伝えください。乗り合わせ希望とお伝えください。
• 集合時間: 12:30
• 集合場所: JR浦佐駅東口タクシー乗り場
• 料金: 同じタクシーに乗り合わせた方との割り勘でお願いいたします。

※国際大学のWi-Fiを利用しますので必要な方はあらかじめセキュリティ対策を行ってください。

Python Boot Campテキストを利用してチュートリアルを行います。 当日までに下記準備をした上で会場までお越しください。 特にPython環境のインストールなどは事前に済ませておくことで、当日はイベントをより楽しむことができると思います。

部内のサイトを作るためにZope/Ploneと出会い、その後必要にかられてPythonを使い始める。PyCon JPでは2011年1月のPyCon mini JPからスタッフとして活動し、2014年から2016年に座長をつとめる。

他の主な活動はPython ボルダリング部(#kabepy)部長、Python mini Hack-a-thon(#pyhack) 主催など。

共著書に『Pythonエンジニア ファーストブック（2017 技術評論社刊）』『いちばんやさしいPythonの教本（2017 インプレス刊）』『Pythonプロフェッショナルプログラミング 第2版（2015 秀和システム刊）』『Pythonライブラリ厳選レシピ（2015 技術評論社刊）』などがある。

趣味は吹奏楽とレゴとペンシルパズル。

Python Boot Camp is to be held in Minami Uonuma!

Python Boot Camp will come to IUJ (Internationa University of Japan)!
IT engineers, come! Minami Uonuma initiates Global IT Park concept and boost IT industry concentration.
Why not start Python in Python Boot Camp that will be held just before snowing in a snow country?

What is Python Boot Camp?

PyCon JP has been holding Python tutorial lectures in PyCon JP event which has been held in Tokyo once a year. This time, we planned Python Boot Camp (PyCamp), aiming to provide the opportunity to get to know Python for those who are like listed below;

• Living in a distant place, couldn't attend to the tutorial
• Not having Python users around, couldn't have the opportunity to start

Target persons of this event

• Attendee of tutorial: Being able to program or having an experience but first to Python. Those who want a student discount should bring a certificate (e.g., a student ID).
• TA (Teaching Assistant): Having an experience of Python and being able to support attendees along with a tutor in the event.
• Local staffs: support event management along with PyCon JP staffs and the tutor.

• You can come to the place by your own car. Please use the parking lot in front of the main entrance (you can park even where "for visitors" signboard doesn't stand by) or near the library that you will find on the right side facing to the entrance.

The suggestion of sharing a taxi from the station to IUJ

It takes about ten minutes car drive from JR Urasa station to IUJ. We suggest those who come by train to share a taxi from the station to IUJ.

• Way to use: Please come to the taxi stop by the meeting time and tell the staff with guide plate standing there that you will share a taxi.
• Meeting time: 0:30 pm
• Meeting place: the taxi stop near the east entrance of JR Urasa station

• Fee: Please split the cost with your fellow passengers.

• We use IUJ's Wi-Fi. So please carry out security measures beforehand if necessary.

About tutorial text and ohter preparations

We use Python Boot Camp Text in the tutorial. Please prepare things listed below before arriving the place. Especially installation of Python environment is highly recommended in order to enjoy the event still more.

Came across Zope/Plone when creating an internal web site, started to use Python from necessity. Started to act as the staff for Pycon Jp from PyCon mini JP held in January 2011 and served as the chairperson from 2014 to 2016.
